- It's not just pills either, we as a nation overmedicate in general. I once posted on facebook that I might be coming down with a cold. Within a few hours I had a bunch of comments telling me to get to the doctor and get all kinds of medications from Tamiflu to steroid shots.

- I wouldn't want to retire at 40. I love my job. I find it very rewarding and it allows me a wonderful work-life balance. I enjoy having responsibilities and the sense of accomplishment that comes from fulfilling them.

- As a general rule I don't use hand sanitizer or anti-bacterial soaps. My exception is after hurricanes. We live in a hurricane prone area and sometimes we are without water for a few days, or under a boil order afterward.

- The government already figures my taxes for me and takes a chunk of each paycheck "sending me back" what I don't owe. It's not like I just get to decide what I pay. I fill out a form with my personal info, they decide how much to take out of each check.

- In reply to: Fred59 #61 There are 3.78 liters in a gallon. We pay by gallon, other countries pay by liter. If it is $1.18 USD per liter, that means the Chinese are paying about $4.40 USD for a gallon of gas. American companies sell to China because China is willing to pay more.
